If you pull the curtain aside you won’t see one wizard pulling the strings. Nope. This is a 3D Printer Site, so what you’ll find are the 3 Ds. Dana, Dan, and Dave. Honestly, we didn’t plan that, and the other guys groan when I make the pun, but I’m a dad. I love my puns.
Who are we though?
Dana
That’s me. I’m a 3D printing enthusiast and a giant NERD. Like most of you, I’m just fascinated with all aspects of this hobby. I’m an English Major who worked as a tech support manager. 3D Printer Power is where my passion for tech and my passion for writing come together.
My latest project is teaching my young children about CAD. I can’t imagine what growing up with 3D printing would have been like, and I’m excited to see what my kids can do. I’ll be keeping you all posted.
Dan
If you want to call someone a technical GURU this is the man you are looking for. He got into 3D printers because of his need for prototyping. I don’t know how he keeps all his projects in order. Whenever I talk to him he’s just finished dismantling some project, assembling another, or is in the process of programming something. 3D Printers have easily replaced all of his styrofoam cutouts, and other hand made packaging.
When Dan sees things he immediately thinks, “How can I do that better.” Now you get to harness that brainpower for yourself with his amazing contributions.
Dave
Here is a man of many talents if I ever met one. That whole jack of all trades master of none nonsense doesn’t apply here. Dave has his hands in so many different pies you’d think he would have to fail at one of them. Instead, I find my jaw on the floor whenever he talks about the progress he has made. He’s a natural entrepreneur who loves to be hands on.
Dan and I convinced him to buy an Ender 3 just to see what the fuss was about. His first project? A Rube Goldberg Machine for his daughter. Dave has the unique ability to combine his imagination with the ability to bring things to life.
Why Did We Create 3D Printer Power?
Originally I created 3D Printer Power through helping Dan research for his first purchase. We both got pretty frustrated about how much misinformation is out there. Finding an authoritative source of information wasn’t as easy as I thought it was going to be. I really just wanted to take that research I had been doing and turn it into a resource for anybody going through the same process.
That’s how 3D Printer Power got started.
It’s a site dedicated to being the go-to stop for 3D printer information.
Where is 3D Printer Power Headed
Life is a journey, right? Originally it was just me, and it was overwhelming. I wanted to bring Dan in, but he went overseas for a year with the military and had to leave his 3D printer behind.
The articles on 3D Printer Power were originally born of questions. What don’t I know, and what can I learn about it. Really, that’s still a common driver. Now though, I’ve got Dan back, and we picked up Dave along the way.
Now we can truly give you the answers you need, and the articles you want.
What can you do?
